I grew up in the eastern part of the San Francisco bay area, in a town where my family had lived for generations, a place where no one ever seemed to leave. When I graduated high school, I was the only one of my close circle friends to go to college. Though it has been difficult at times to keep these ties, I have never regretted my decision to go and explore. Over the last 10 years, hard work, education, volunteer and work experiences have taken me to over 30 countries and allowed me to live and work for extended periods of time with people from varying cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds, primarily in East and West Africa and Switzerland. Through experiences in international development work in education and human rights, I have come to the conclusion that social-minded business is the mechanism to sustainability. I hope to use the skills and knowledge that I have gained over my professional career coupled with an MBA from Business School Lausanne to guide companies and individuals toward sustainability and human rights. All the while, continuing to nourish my passion for singing, music and dream of becoming a star. A platform to advocate and influence… dare to dream!
