Professional Career & Mini Bio

Alain Haut has an MSc in Economics and in Social Sciences from the University of Namur (Belgium) complemented by post-graduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Warwick (United Kingdom). He received a Doctorate (HC) in Business Administration from the Swiss School of Higher Education.

Before turning to consulting and academia, Alain Haut enjoyed a 35-year corporate career with increasing responsible human resources executive positions, first in the industry with Federal-Mogul, Valenite and GTE, then in health care with Serono, Covance and Ipsen. In the last two companies, he held the top global human resources position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Alain also worked in quality, project, sales and general management. He lived and worked in Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States (Detroit, Boston, Indianapolis, Princeton), France and Greece.

A certified Coach and Transition Manager, Alain Haut consults in the fields of performance, leadership, change, cross-cultural management as well as all aspects of human resources, specifically talent management, executive assessment and recruitment.

In academia, Professor Haut teaches in various areas of international business, leadership, human resources, sports and luxury management in several business schools in Switzerland, France and Ukraine. For 10 years, Alain served as Corporate Peer Reviewer for the EQUIS and EPAS accreditations granted by EFMD International (European Foundation for Management Development) and was a corporate member of the EPAS Accreditation Board.
