Admissions Requirements and Deadlines
Our DBA candidates have solid professional experience and wish to investigate a topic in the domain of business sustainability. They have the capacity to express their thoughts in a structured and substantiated manner and would like to use this to sharpen their intellectual and trans-disciplinary thinking. Successful DBA candidates have the stamina and determination to commit to a research project over a long period of time.
Am I eligible?
If you can say "yes" to the following questions, then you are eligible to apply for the DBA program:
- At least 5 years of post master’s relevant professional work experience (you can explain why you believe it is relevant)
- Either a master’s degree in business or in a business related area, from a recognized university or institution or the equivalent in terms of significant work experience (for professionals over 40 years of age) in a senior position of responsibility including management experience, adding up to a minimum total of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluency in English (having worked or studied in English or a TOEFL IBT Level of 100 or equivalent).

Master degree or equivalent
Either a master’s degree in business or in a business related area, from a recognized university or institution and at least 5 years of post master's relevant professional working experience, including experience in business sustainability OR the equivalent in terms of significant work experience (for professionals over 40 years of age) in a senior position of responsibility including management experience, adding up to a minimum total of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Note: Foreign official degrees must be certified by a legal authority such as a Public Notary, with translation when necessary.
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
An up-to-date curriculum vitae/resume (overview of studies, relevant working experience if any and activities). At least 5 years’ pre or post-master’s relevant professional work experience.
A motivation letter/essay highlighting your perspective on your professional future, the reasons why you wish to study business, why you believe BSL is the right school for you and your goals and experience as they relate to higher education.
Two recommendation letters signed and printed on official letterhead paper) from employers. These letters should include, for example, your skills, dependability, personal character, and accomplishments.
Fluency in English
Fluency in English at a TOEFL IBT Level of 100 or equivalent.
