Graduated with honors in Hospitality Management from the Erasmus University of Brussels, Yannick has nearly 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. He worked exclusively for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and was based in Africa, Caribbean, Europe, North America, and Middle East. Prior to taking over as Rooms Executive at The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, he started as a bellboy in Spain, growing into various leadership positions responsible for improving the customer experience, nurturing employee engagement, and driving financial performance. Additionally, he also led a quality improvement project targeted at optimizing the customer journey for various hotels in The Americas region.
Yannick is currently an MBA candidate – guest speaker – and founder of BY Excellence, which assists companies from diverse industries in levering their customer experience and customer journey to create a sustainable competitive advantage in this digital era. Finally, he serves as judge and mentor for MassChallenge, a leader in helping startups across Europe grow their businesses by accelerating nearly 400 startups till date.

Career Objectives / Personal Vision & Mission
I constantly ask myself questions and challenge what I know; which led me to develop the ability to unlearn and re-think. I consider myself a life-long learner/teacher: in my spare time I teach boxing and find ways to develop my passion for multi-lingual communication by learning German and Arabic at both the linguistic and cultural level. My executive studies have been instrumental with regards to reinventing myself as an entrepreneur with a vision of giving back through knowledge sharing and advising companies and industry expert across different sizes and levels of seniority.
What makes me accomplished as an entrepreneur and professional is helping businesses design a strategic customer success journey aimed at retaining clients and converting them into brand ambassadors. I am also very interested in people development and personal growth, providing constructive feedback and coaching business leaders/students to become their best self.
