BSL Ranks #2 and #3 for Master’s Programs and #4 for MBA Program

BSL reconfirmed its place among the top Swiss business schools in the latest QS Global Ranking 2018, released on November 28, 2017. In Switzerland, BSL ranks #3 for its Master in International Business, #2 for its Master in International and Sustainable Finance, and #4 for its MBA program.

It is the first year that QS publishes a ranking dedicated to business masters programs, divided in two categories: Masters in Management Rankings 2018, including 122 schools from around the world, and Masters in Finance Rankings 2018, including 131 schools globally. The Global MBA Rankings 2018 ranks programs of 232 business schools internationally.

While the Master and MBA QS rankings take into consideration various criteria such as entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, return on investment, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity, they emphasize the importance of employability as a key element (35% of the total ranking weight for the Master Programs and 40% for the MBA Programs). Between 2012-2017, QS has collected 158’000 responses from global employers indicating their recruitment preferences of MBA graduates. In order to produce the rankings, QS focuses on experienced HR and line managers at organizations that actively recruit MBAs. Employers are asked to identify and vote for the schools they regard as attractive for the purpose of hiring MBA graduates. Employers across all sectors and industries take part in the survey, and include Facebook, Google, Uber, Wells Fargo, Bank of America etc.

“This ranking is arguably the most extensive global comparison of the employability outcomes achieved by higher education institutions,” says Nunzio Quacquarelli, CEO of QS.

QS is a leading global career and education network for professionals looking to further both their personal and professional development.  With extensive contacts in the field of higher education, they have offices throughout the world in London, Paris, Singapore, Shanghai, Boston, Washington DC, Johannesburg and Alicante.
