BSL Graduation Ceremony 2008

The graduation Ceremony took place on September 20 at the Beau-Rivage Palace Hotel. More than 200 people attended the ceremony and the cocktail reception. 135 people took part in an excellent gala dinner.

This year, the ceremony was enhanced by the presentation of two degrees of Doctorate Honoris Causa. The first one was awarded to Dr Joseph Deiss, former member of the Swiss government and President of the Swiss Confederation, in recognition for his exceptional achievements to reinforce and expand the political and economic position of Switzerland . The second one was awarded to Senator Ngo Quang Xuan, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, permanent Representative of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, in recognition for his exceptional achievements in the diplomatic field, in particular the entry of Vietnam into the WTO.
